ideas4all was created by Ana María Llopis, founder of Openbank –Group Santander– (leading Internet bank in Spain and second in Europe at the time it was launched). Ana María has great experience in new technologies and the Internet, and was Chairwoman of Viaplus and Razona, as well as Finance and Insurance Manager at Indra.
Ana María has a PHD from the University of California Berkeley in Materials Sciences Engineering Cum Laude and a BS In Physics and Minor in Mathematics from the University of Maryland Suma Cum Laude Ana María Llopis is currently a non-executive President of DIA, a non-executive Director of Société Générale and of Service Point Solutions. She has been a non-executive Director of BAT and NED of the Supervisory Board of ABN AMRO Bank, until recently nationalized. She has also been NED of Reckitt-Benckiser and has held various management positions in companies such as P&G, Playtex, Schweppes, Banesto and Grupo Santander. She is Founder of the Board of Uplaya.com Polyphonic, an American-Spanish start up, based in Savannah USA, dedicated to innovation in the music field. She is also vice- president of the José Félix Llopis Latin American Art Foundation, and has been a part of the Board of Consultants for Electronic Administration to the Spanish Ministry of Public Administrations, since 2006. Since 2010 in the Advisory Committee RSE Carolina Foundation and Sánchez Albornoz Foundation. She was one of the 10 members who wrote the new Code of Governance for Spanish listed Companies at the CNV Spain. 2006-2007 Ana María has received recognition and awards such as the International Women’s Forum “Women who make a difference” award 2007, in Chicago. Leader of the IWF leadership program 2007-2008, she was also mentioned by The Times as one of the 100 most influential executives in the UK, and, in 2005, The Mail ranked her 24th on its list of most influential women in the UK. She won Openbank's Award for Financial Executive of the year in 1995, and Institut Català de la Dona award in 1997, as well as Entrepreneur of the Year in 2001, etc. |
